Team Thomas was launched in 2013 when then 9 year old Thomas was attending an intensive program at March of Dimes that incorporated mobility throughout his learning day. Due to the high cost of 1:1 physical support required to meet this need, Thomas’ teacher volunteered her husband to run with him during Toronto’s Waterfront Marathon to help offset costs.

The event was a huge success and became an annual event that funded 3 further years of tuition, multiple pieces of equipment, physical therapy and modifications for an adaptive vehicle and home!

We are so grateful that this annual race continues today to support Thomas’ needs - and to the dedicated runners who create these possibilities!
